REMAX Canada Welcomes Industry Powerhouse Don Kottick as President

The former President and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada joins REMAX Canada with more than 30 years of experience furthering the real estate industry, leading brands and supporting professionals.

That’s how Don Kottick, a real estate industry veteran of more than 30 years and the former President and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, describes REMAX^® in Canada. Kottick, who is stepping into the role of President of REMAX Canada, has seen the industry evolve from myriad vantage points throughout his storied career — and says he’s now ready for the endeavor of a lifetime.

In his new role, Kottick will oversee operations for the REMAX brand’s Canadian company-owned region, providing strategic direction that supports affiliates across the country. His realm includes provinces and territories from British Columbia through Ontario, as well as the Atlantic provinces of New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. RE/MAX Quebec, also a market share stronghold for the network, remains an independently owned region that Kottick will provide strategy and guidance for.

Creativity and innovation have been priorities throughout Kottick’s robust career, which has spanned various executive roles supporting corporate and franchise development, brokerage management, mergers and acquisitions, technology implementation and more. In addition to previously serving as President and CEO of Sotheby’s International Realty Canada, Kottick held prior senior executive roles with Royal LePage, Right At Home Realty and Peerage Realty Partners. Passionate about shaping the real estate industry, Kottick has also served the Canada Real Estate Association (CREA) and the Toronto Regional Real Estate Board (TRREB) as a director-at-large for each. He is also a Fellow of the Real Estate Institute (FRI) from the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC).

After years of observing REMAX affiliates, Kottick is confident the REMAX brand’s trusted, productive professionals are in a position to win on an even grander scale.
